Helen V. Perry-Olson

July 9, 1906 — April 21, 2005

Helen Virginia Perry, the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Oliver) Perry, was born July 9, 1906, in Fargo, ND, where she grew up and received her education. She graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1923.
On August 28, 1926, Helen married Leonard T. Olson, in Fargo. They made their home in Fargo, and Helen attended North Dakota State University for more than three years. Helen worked for the Federal Government in a number of offices in Fargo. She retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 1968, as a file supervisor.
In retirement, Helen continued to live in Fargo. She was an active volunteer and on the board of directors of Southeast Mental Health, Fargo, active in the Business and Professional Women's Association, and very active in church activities at Calvary Baptist Church in Fargo.
Helen died on Thursday, April 21, 2005, at her daughter's home in Moorhead, MN, under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley, at the age of 98. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard, who died in 1985; her parents; and two sisters, Corrine Shaw and Florence Clark.
Helen is survived by her daughter, Gene (Jack) Frenette, Moorhead; a son, Bruce (Betty) Olson, Troutdale, OR; four grandchildren, Michele Frenette, Moorhead, Michael Frenette, Bismarck, ND, Perry (Deanna) Olson, Forest Grove, OR, and Bethanne (Rick) Coleman, Portland, OR; and by six great-grandchildren.
Visitation: Monday, from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Prayer service: Monday, at 7:00 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral service: Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at 10:30 AM in Bethel Evangelical Free Church, Fargo, ND.

Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
