Henry J. Ricard

Henry J. Ricard, age 94, Fargo, ND, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2004, at Villa Maria in Fargo.
Henry Joseph Ricard, the son of Victor and Stephanie (Hasty) Ricard, was born April 12, 1909, near Beltrami, MN, where he grew up and received his education.
On September 5, 1932, Henry was united in marriage to Ida M. Archambault, at Terrebonne, MN. Following their marriage, they made their home in the Beltrami area, where they farmed. They retired from farming in 1972. After they retired, they moved to Crookston, MN, to live. They also spent 13 winters in McAllen, Texas. In 1988, Henry and Ida moved to Riverview Place in Fargo, ND.

Henry's wife, Ida, died on January 5, 2002. Later that year, Henry became a resident of Villa Maria in Fargo, where he had lived since. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and two daughters-in-law, Jodie Ricard of Washburn, WI, and Joanne Ricard of Glendora, CA.
Henry is survived by ten children, Diane (Leo) Wald, Moorhead, Kathleen (David) Wolter, Fortuna, ND, Marilyn (Michael) Sheehan, Rochester, MN, Phyllis (Edward) Varevice, Bloomington, MN, Robert (Margo) Ricard, Glendora, CA, Lawrence (Elaine) Ricard, Beltrami, MN, Ronald ( Marion) Ricard, Duluth, MN, Dennis (Marlys) Ricard, Crookston, MN, James (Colleen) Ricard, Bemidji, MN; David Ricard, Washburn, WI; 38 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren.


Visitation: Monday, from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM
St. Joseph Catholic Church, Moorhead.

Prayer service: Monday at 6 PM

Funeral Mass: Tuesday, Feb. 24, 2004, at 2 PM
St. Joseph Catholic Church,
Moorhead, Minnesota.

Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
