Herman Reierson, 81, died Saturday, April 25, 2015, in Sunnyside Care Center, Lake Park, MN.
Herman L. Reierson was born December 22, 1933, in Hastings, NE, to Richard and Tillie (Quam) Reierson. In Herman's earliest years of life, he and his parents traveled throughout Nebraska in an ingenious 'mobile home' that his creative father had hand-built. This unique domain -definitely ahead of its time! - housed the small Reierson family while Herman's father, Richard, went about his work maintaining the equipment utilized to build early roads in Nebraska.
The family settled in Moorhead, MN, when Herman was just a youngster. He spent most of his growing up and his adult years, as a resident of Moorhead, MN.
Herman was employed as a machinist, for many years, by Tennefos Construction, Fargo, ND. Herman's hobbies included building race cars, utilizing his machinist know-how and skills, dirt track racing, tinkering with mechanical assemblies and traveling.
Herman is survived by his four children, Ricky (Kathy) Reierson of Meridian, ID, Kevin Reierson of Fargo, Cheryl (Dennis) Winter of New Freedom, PA, and Carla (Tim) Most of Mayville, WI; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and the mother of Herman's children, Adeline Drummond.
Herman's family wishes to thank the staff of Sunnyside Care Center for their loving and attentive care.
