Huong "Rose" Truong, 66, Willmar, MN, died Wednesday, December 6, 2006, in the Golden Living Center, Moorhead, MN.
Huong Truong was born May 10, 1940, in Saigon, Vietnam where she grew up and graduated from school. Huong married Sang Truong in Saigon where they made their home. Sang was killed in the Vietnam War, and Huong moved with her children to Willmar in 1975. She worked at the Holiday Inn and was a cook at a restaurant in Willmar. She then began working at Jennie-O until she retired due to illness. Only recently, she had moved to Moorhead to be closer to her family.
Huong enjoyed volunteering at her church in Willmar and playing Bingo. She was an excellent cook and gardener as well.
Huong is survived by a son, Phu Truong, Moorhead; a daughter, My Hanh (Shane Wenzel) Truong, also of Moorhead; and two grandchildren, Michael and Mysha Wenzel.
Memorial Service: Friday, December 15, 2006, at 3 PM, Willmar United Methodist Church, Willmar.
