Ida K. Tyler, 82, of Moorhead, MN, died Friday, August 30, 2013, in her son's home in Bismarck, ND, under the care of hospice.

Ida Katharine Myers was born on January 25, 1931, to Norman and Lena (Holte) Myers in Moorhead. She married Donald M. Tyler on October 22, 1949, and had two sons, Timothy and Ronald. Ida was a lifelong Moorhead resident and member of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd.

She enjoyed reading, playing bingo, gardening, crocheting, and knitting blankets for donations to Moorhead area charities.

In earlier years, Ida enjoyed golfing at Village Green Golf Course in Moorhead. After the death of her husband, Don, she donated and dedicated a flag pole to the course in his honor.

Ida is survived by her son, Ronald (Pamela) Tyler, Bismarck; two brothers, Roger (Carol) Myers, Borup, MN, and Carl (Janelle) Myers, Bloomington, MN; sister, Donna Hoverman, Waxahachie, TX; sister-in-law, Margaret Myers, Moorhead; three grandsons, Brandon, Nick, and Eliott; a granddaughter, Hillary; two great-grandchildren, Brooklyn and Quinn; and numerous nieces and nephews, including special great-niece, Heidi.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Don; her son, Tim; brothers, Floyd, Harold, LeRoy and Franklin; and sister, Lillian Shaide.

Visitation: One hour prior to service in the church.

Memorial Service: Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 1:00 PM, in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Moorhead.

Burial: Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
