Ida Solberg, 97, died on Wednesday, November 15, 2006, at Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo, ND, where she had been a resident for the past two and a half months.
Ida (Kallestad) Solberg was born on November 17, 1908, in Dwight, ND, where she grew up. She graduated from Lutheran Bible High School, Grand Forks, ND, in 1929, and Mayville (ND) State Teachers College in 1931. She taught in various schools in MN and ND from 1931 - 1969.
Ida married Joseph O. Solberg on June 20, 1942, in Mayville. They lived in the Aneta, ND, area until 1961 when they moved to Fargo. Joseph passed away in 1976.
Ida was active in her church as an organist, Sunday school teacher, Ladies Aid president, and Bible study leader, her joy as she served the Lord in many ways.
She is survived by a daughter, Ramona (Bruce) Langness, Moorhead, MN; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Tim) Payne, Gig Harbor, WA, and Jeffrey (Kirsten) Langness, Moorhead; and four great-grandchildren.
Ida was a precious mother, grandmother, and friend and she will be missed dearly.
She is celebrating her 98th birthday on November 17th with a great reunion in Heaven with her Savior and loved ones gone on before.
