Inger L. Cooper

Inger L. Johnson was born September 20, 1916, in Flom, MN, to Ole and Eline (Jacobson) Johnson. Inger was raised in the Flom area where she received her education.

Inger married Carl Johnson on October 14, 1944, in Flom and they moved to Moorhead, MN, shortly after. Carl died in 1957. In 1963, Inger began working at Moorhead State Teachers College as the chief store clerk in the bookstore.

Inger married Clifton Cooper in 1965, in Flom, and he died in 1976. She retired from Moorhead State in 1981 and continued to make her home in Moorhead. She began living with her daughter in 1989 and entered Golden Living Center in 2010.

Inger died peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, at ninety-eight years of age.

She is survived by a granddaughter, Julie Laaouina, Moorhead.

In addition to her husbands, Inger was preceded in death by her daughter, Carole Rasmussen on November 23, 2014; twelve brothers and sisters; and her beloved pets Skipper and Casey.

Inger's family would like to acknowledge the staff at Golden Living Center for the care that Inger received while making her home there. An extra thank you to Gladys Poncelet and Brenda Rodgers who made sure Inger was comfortable and always had a cold glass of water, and Rhiannon Walstrom (our angel.) Also to Dr. John Ladwig and Allissa Hoban, NP, for their professional care.

Visitation for Inger will begin at 10 AM, followed by a funeral at 11 AM, Tuesday, December 30, 2014, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Burial will be in Aspelund Lutheran Cemetery, Flom.
