Irene H. Blakesley, 86, Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, in Moorhead Health Care Center, Moorhead, MN.
Irene Helen Hanna was born September 12, 1919, to William and Hazel (Margerum) Hanna in Monango, ND. She graduated from high school in Monango and from Valley City (ND) State College with a degree in education. Irene then taught elementary education in Buffalo, ND.
In 1962, Irene married Robert Blakesley in Iowa. They lived in Minneapolis where Irene worked as a teller at Northwest Bank which is now Wells Fargo. Robert died in 1973. Irene retired from the bank in 1986 and she moved to Fargo in 1989.
Irene is survived by several nieces and nephews.
