Israel "Izzy" Garza III was called into the hands of our Lord and Savior, Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at Sanford Hospital, Fargo, ND. His spirit is now free from illness, and he passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and suffers no more.

Israel, known to many as Izzy (or "Lito") was born May 5, 1974, in Fargo, to Israel and Yolanda (Ochoa) Garza. Izzy was raised in Moorhead, MN, where he graduated from high school. He went on to study culinary arts at Moorhead Technical School.

Izzy moved to Texas for a few years to be closer to his family. When he returned to Moorhead, he rekindled his love with AnnMarie Amaya. They were married September 1, 2018, in Fargo, and they lived in Moorhead where they raised their family.

Izzy's main job was a chef and cooking. When he wanted to try something different, he started working for McNeilus Steel, Inc., Fargo, in June of 2019. Izzy's passions were music, singing karaoke, dancing, cooking, family time, fishing, and football (mainly the Vikings.) He enjoyed hanging out with his best friends, playing pool, going to the casino, and learning how to play his acoustic guitar.

Wherever Izzy went, he would somehow impact and touch people's hearts. He was so friendly and loving.

Izzy is survived by his wife, AnnMarie; their children, Emilio (Evelyn), Breanna (George), Destiny (fiancé, Chris), and Victoria; seven grandchildren; three sisters, one brother, and his mother.

He was welcomed into heaven by his father, Israel, and other family members.

Visitation for Izzy will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021, from 1 PM to 3 PM, in St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church, Moorhead.

His Memorial Mass will be at 3 PM, Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at the church.
