James E. Cain, 63, Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, March 13, 2005, in MeritCare Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, ND.
James Edward Cain was born October 12, 1941, in San Mateo, CA, to Joseph and Lucille (Schmidt) Cain. The family lived in New Auburn, MN, for a time, but moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area when James was young.
James graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1958 and began a career as a truck driver. He worked for a number of businesses, but spent most of his career with Mitchell Transport and Asplin Excavating, both of Fargo. He was hurt on the job in 1990 and retired the following year.
James married Gail Marie Carney on January 27, 1968, in Moorhead. She died October 26, 2004.
James is survived by his two sons, Brian (Brenda), Fargo, and Scott, Moorhead; and one grandson, Bryce Thomas. In addition to his parents and wife, James was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 16, 2005; 5 - 7 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral: Thursday, March 17, 2005; 2 PM in First Presbyterian Church, Fargo.
Burial: St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
