James F. Iwen

James F. Iwen, 70, Devils Lake, ND, formerly of Arthur, ND, died Wednesday, December 8, 2021, in Bethany on University, Fargo, ND.

James was born May 7, 1951, in Fargo, ND, to James and Patricia (Tehven) Iwen. He was raised in Arthur where he graduated from high school. He farmed in a number of different areas most of his life. He most recently lived and worked in Devils Lake, ND, where he met Janel Taylor.

James was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing among other outdoor activities. When he was younger, Jim would frequently go hunting with his father. He loved his granddaughters very much and they held a very special place in his heart.

James is survived by his children, Jodee (Chris) Knipfer, and Scott Iwen; three grandchildren, Adelyn, Everly, and Linnea; father, James Iwen; sister, Carol Rohde; and longtime friend and significant other, Janel Taylor.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Patricia; and a brother, Jeff.

There will be a gathering of friends Sunday, December 12, 2021, from 1 - 2:30 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Burial will take place in Arthur City Cemetery at a later date.
