James H Mueller, 78, of Moorhead, MN, passed away Sunday, December 31, 2023, in Moorhead with his oldest daughter Mary by his side.

James was born February 6^th, 1945, in Mahnomen, MN to Elizabeth (Illies) and John Mueller.

James, also known as Jimmy by his family, was the baby of 14 children. He was a 1963 graduate of Mahnomen High School, and later in life he attended Detroit Lakes Tech School for Auto Body in 1984.

On October 25^th, 1969, James married Marilyn Gaarder who he loved dearly.   Over the years he held various labor jobs which included Silverline, The Fargo Forum & The Salvation Army.

He enjoyed model trains, playing cards, singing, making cat trees, bird houses and squirrel feeders. He also loved to ring bell for the salvation army.

James is survived by his wife Marilyn, sons, Lee (Susie) and John (Sara); daughters, Mary (Terry) and Miranda; grandchildren, Alexa, Brett, Domingo, Kaleb, Keegan, Kiana, Kyla, Madison, Mercadez, Mickinley, Morgan, and Savanna; great-grandchildren, Avery, Jacob, James, Jason, Karly, Lily, Wyatt and William; and siblings, August (Joan) and Marian (John).

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Justin; and siblings, Bernard, Cyril Sr, Eleanor, Christina, Helen, Theresa, Dorthy, John, Vernon, Richard and Robert.

A Gathering of Family and Friends for James will begin at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 5, 2024, followed by a Celebration of Life 3:00 PM, in Kormso Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead, MN.

Burial will take place in St. Joseph's Catholic Cemetery, Moorhead.
