James R. Windus

. James Richard Windus was born August 31, 1970, in Fargo, ND, to Patrick and Anne (Dirlam) Windus. James was raised in Moorhead, MN, and graduated from Moorhead High School in 1989. James furthered his education at the technical school in Thief River Falls, MN, with an interest in culinary arts.

James married Tina Fugere on June 10, 2000, at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Felton, MN. To this union, three children were born: Stephanie, Brooke and Taylor. They made their home in Sabin, MN. James battled numerous health issues over the years. In the presence of his family and close friends, James died Thursday, May 14, 2015, in Sanford Health, Fargo, at forty-four years of age.

James was a big sports fan and loved to watch the Minnesota Vikings and Wild. He enjoyed watching movies, fishing, boat rides, and barbequing on the grill. James especially enjoyed spending his free time with his family and friends, and took pride in being a father to his beautiful girls.

James is survived by his wife, Tina; three daughters, Stephanie, Brooke and Taylor; mother, Anne; three brothers, Patrick, Christopher, and George (Joan) Windus; three nieces and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.

Visitation for James will be Monday, May 18, 2015, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

The funeral will be Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 10:30 AM, in Brookdale Baptist Church, Moorhead.
