James T. Sieg, 83, Fergus Falls, MN, formerly of Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, October 29, 2006, in Broen Memorial Home, Fergus Falls.
James Thomas Sieg was born July 27, 1923, in Eckelson, ND, to Jacob and Marie (O'Day) Sieg. They lived for a time in Glen Ullin, ND, before moving to Moorhead, MN. James was raised in Moorhead where he graduated from high school in 1941.
James married Delores Larson, February 20, 1943, in Hawley, MN, and they made their home in Moorhead. He entered the US Army March 1, 1943, and served until January 3, 1946. Following his discharge, James returned to Moorhead.
James worked for O'Day Equipment, Fargo, for many years, eventually becoming shop foreman of their tank department. He retired early, at sixty-two years of age, to care for Delores. She died July 15, 1990, and James continued to reside in Moorhead. In August 2004, James moved to Broen Memorial Home.
James is survived by a son, Richard Sieg, Fergus Falls; a daughter, Sandra (Gary) Littlefield, Loveland, CO; four grandchildren: Angela, James, Amy, and Christopher; and five great-grandchildren: Joey, Adam, Emma, Hayden, and Brayden.
Visitation: Thursday, November 2, 2006; 1 PM - 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral: Thursday, November 2, 2006; 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
