Janet Kelly

Janet E. Kelly, 56, Moorhead, MN, passed away peacefully, following a stroke, on Wednesday, March 29, 2017, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Janet Eileen Sanders was born on September 18, 1960, in Bemidji, MN to Stuart Jr, and Norma Sanders. During her elementary school years Janet's family moved to Moorhead, where she grew up and graduated from Moorhead Senior High. After high school, Janet attended cosmetology school, but found her calling as a compassionate caregiver working as a nursing assistant, caregiver. and senior companion, most recently for Tammy's Angels.

In 1985 Janet married Paul Kelly in Moorhead, they later divorced. Janet was a quiet and genuine person with a sweet smile and fun laugh. She is remembered for her loving, caring nature and willingness to help others. Her greatest joys in life were spending time with her daughters, two grandchildren, Jaxson and Penny, and Trixie, their dog.

Janet is survived by her mother, Norma Sanders of Moorhead; two daughters, Sarah and Lisa Kelly; sister, Susann (Jay) Russell; brothers, David (June) Sanders, Paul (Jessie) Sanders; two grandchildren, Jaxson and Penny; several aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 1, 2017, at 2 PM in Brookdale Baptist Church, Moorhead. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
