Janice Marie Broers, the daughter of Frank and Ruth (Rinerson) Broers, was born February 8, 1940, in the Twin Valley, MN area. She grew up and received her education in Twin Valley, where she graduated from high school.
In December of 1957, Janice married Robert Heiraas in Twin Valley. They lived in Fargo, ND, where they owned and operated Bob's True Value Hardware in the Northport Shopping Center. They also lived on Lake Ida, rural Lake Park, MN. Janice later returned to Moorhead, where she had lived since.
Janice loved to garden and cook and care for her family. She died on Sunday, October 30, 2011, in a Essentia Helath, Fargo, at the age of 71.
She is survived by two daughters, Deb (Tom) Jacobson and Trish VanDeWalker; grandchildren, Kristi and Jason Jacobson; three sisters, Arlene Korsgaden, Marge Erickson, and Faye Naugle; and a brother, Richard (Cathy) Broers.
A private memorial service will be held.
