Jasen Lee Sauvageau, 41, of Moorhead, MN, died in his home on May 31, 2013.
A Service of Celebration will be held at Korsmo Funeral Home in Moorhead on June 13, 2013, at 7:00 PM. Friends and family may attend after 6:00 PM the day of the service.
He was born on January 22, 1972, in Moorhead to Timothy and Terri (Engelking) Sauvageau. The family moved to Barnesville, MN, in 1979, where he spent his childhood. As a child, he travelled across many states and spent much time camping and fishing at various lakes in the area with his grandparents. He was a gifted student and graduated from Barnesville (MN) High School in 1990. After graduation, Jasen worked various jobs including line cook, gate agent for Frontier/United Express, catering, and various labor related jobs.
Many would say his life was cut short but he touched the lives of many with his uniqueness, humor, and willingness to help neighbors, friends, and family. Jasen was an avid reader, sound golfer, played softball and bowled, and enjoyed music, particularly from the 80's.
Jasen is survived by his father Timothy Sauvageau of Barnesville; brother, Todd Sauvageau of Portland, OR; sister, Monique Sauvageau and her spouse, Jerry Harr of Fargo, ND; and his grandfather, Roy Engelking of Moorhead, MN.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Terri Sauvageau; his grandmother, LaVonne (Bonnie) Engelking; and grandparents, Patrick and Gloria (Panchott) Sauvageau.
