Jeffrey D. Riebe

Jeffrey Dale Riebe was born November 22, 1956, in Detroit Lakes, MN, to Dale and Arvilla (Schwarzrock) Riebe. He was raised in Sabin, MN, and Moorhead, MN, where he graduated from high school in 1976.

Jeff worked for Hogenson Construction, Moorhead. He married Lori Perez on August 31, 1992, in Las Vegas, NV, and they made their home in Dilworth, MN. He worked for S-M Enterprises Sheet Metal, Moorhead. He then went to work driving semi-truck for Fargo Glass & Paint, Fargo, ND. When he got his job at Fargo Glass & Paint, it was his dream job. He actually loved getting up at 3 AM and driving in the winter. Jeff worked hard to make sure his customers got everything on time and without damage. His customers became his friends and he would always talk about them and the stories they shared together. After 20 years of service, Jeff retired in December 2012, due to health concerns.

He enjoyed watching NASCAR, Monster Truck shows and Classic car shows. Jeff was a member of the FM Crusaders and it was hard on him when he had to sell his last Harley. He missed it so much.

Jeff was a family man. He worked all week and stayed home all weekend to be with his family. His precious daughter, Cassie, was everything to him and she will always be his little baby girl forever. He watched his stepson, Daryl, become the best father a child could have.

Jeff battled cancer for three and a half years. He did everything he could to stay with us as long as possible and he endured a great deal for us. He died unexpectedly Thursday, June 23, 2016, at his home in Dilworth, at fifty-nine years of age.

He is survived by his wife, Lori, Dilworth; daughter, Cassie Riebe, Honolulu, Hawaii; stepson, Daryl Brown, Fargo; two stepgrandchildren, Conner and Melanie Brown; mother, Arvilla Hanson, Moorhead; sister, Pamella (Steven) Quiggle, Fargo; brother, Michael (Betty Fear) Riebe, Fargo; and nephews, Justen Riebe, Billy, Stevie, and Matthew Quiggle, and Dalton Cossette.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Susan Cossette; father, Dale Riebe; and his stepfather, Orvis Hanson.

Visitation for Jeff will be Monday, June 27, 2016, from 5 - 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

A Life Celebration service will be Tuesday, June 28, 2016, at 1 PM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.

Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.

A special thank you to all the staff at Roger Maris Cancer Center. They always gave Jeff excellent care and he appreciated it.
