Jennie P. Gerrells, age 95, of Moorhead, MN, died Feb. 22, 2012 in Sanford Health, Fargo, ND.
Jennie Pauline Markuson was born at Fort Ransom, ND, on May 30, 1916. She grew up and received her education there.
As a young lady she moved to Fargo. In 1959, she married Warren Gerrells. Following their marriage, they lived in Moorhead. Jennie worked as a waitress at the Rex Café and at the Townhouse. In retirement, she lived for many years at Parkview Terrace in Moorhead. She recently moved to The Evergreens in Moorhead.
Jennie was preceded in death by her parents, Anna and Carl Markuson; sisters, Agnes Markuson and Stella Eliason; and brothers, Hogan and Benhard Markuson. She is survived by seven cousins, Helen (Vernon) Huseby, Janice (Patrick) Eng, Bernice Larson, Jeanette Hendricks, Avis (James) Nelson, Naomi Nelson, and Jean Wright; a niece, Angie Lien; and a nephew, Steven Eliason.
