Jennifer L. Erickson

January 28, 1969 — February 12, 2009

Jennifer (Dybsetter) Erickson, 40, of Moorhead, MN, died on February 12, 2009, at Innovis Health, Fargo, ND, from complications of diabetes.
Jen was born on January 28, 1969, in Canby, MN, the daughter of Larry and Bev (Pearson) Dybsetter. She was baptized and confirmed at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church in Canby. She graduated from Canby High School in 1987 and received her B.S. degree from NDSU in 1992.
Jennifer married Chad Merritt and together they had a son, Jacob (15). She later married Darin Erickson and from this union, a daughter, Ella (12), was born.
Jen worked as a nurse at the VA Medical Center, Fargo. She loved bantering with the vets and they, in turn, appreciated her spunk.
In her free time, Jen was an avid gardener and often shared cutting and seeds. She championed cultural diversity, especially the Native American.
Jennifer is survived by her two children, Jacob Merritt, and Ella Erickson; her parents; one sister, Rebecca (Darin) Halverson of Bagley, MN; aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and her good friends, Jay Holding Eagle and Lisa Gibbs.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Harold and Gladys (Cole) Pearson and Edwin and Luella (Thovson) Dybsetter.
A special thank you to the Critical Care Unit and nurses of the third floor of Innovis Health for their exceptional care!
Visitation: One hour prior to the funeral, at the church.
Funeral Service: Monday, February 16, 2009 at 2 PM, in Hope Lutheran Church, South Campus, 3636 25th Street South, Fargo, ND.


Burial: Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009 at 1 PM in Wergland Cemetery, Porter, Minnesota.
