Jessie Alfreda Blilie was born July 13, 1913, at Comstock, MN, to Andrew and Julia (Olson) Blilie. Jessie was raised at Comstock where she graduated from high school. She then attended Moorhead (MN) State College.
Jessie married Otto Grondahl on September 4, 1932, and they made their home in Moorhead. They moved to Abercrombie, ND, in 1941, where they owned and operated a restaurant. They returned to Moorhead in 1944, and Otto died April 21, 1960.
Jessie married Emil Stubson on October 1, 1971. Jessie worked at Dakota Clinic in Fargo, ND. Emil died August 7, 1994, and she continued to reside in Moorhead. She entered Golden Living Center, Moorhead, in April of this year.
Jessie died Tuesday, July 22, 2008, at Golden Living Center, at ninety-five years of age.
Jessie is survived by her son, James (Donna) Grondahl, Dilworth, MN; daughter, Darlene (Jack) Hoerr, Moorhead; step-son, Bill Stubson, Oregon; step-daughter, Wanda Priest, Fargo; step-daughter-in-law, Pat (Lanny) Bitzer, Arizona; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several step-grand, great-grand, and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husbands, Jessie was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Mona Jean Andre Grondahl; six brothers; five sisters; and her parents.
Visitation for Jessie will be Thursday, July 24, 2008, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Her funeral will be Friday, July 25, 2008, at 11 AM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Burial will follow in Moorhead Memorial Gardens.
