Jill Marie Kemmer

Jill Marie Kemmer, 64, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, November 11, 2023 in Sanford Medical Center, Fargo, ND.

Jill was born on June 9, 1959, to Kenneth and Mardrie (Feil) Fladgard in Sioux Falls, SD. She lived there until 1973, when they moved to Moorhead. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1977. While in high school she met her future husband, Gerald (Jerry) Kemmer. They were married in 1979. Over the years their family grew to include 3 children-Joshua, Joseph and Jaimie. They celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary shortly before Jerry's passing in 2004.

While her children were growing up she was a homemaker and as they got older she worked at Riverside Elementary School, Happy Days Childcare and was currently employed at Our Redeemer Christian Children's Center. She loved working with children.

Jill was very proud to be a long-time Moorhead resident. Her children were all involved in playing youth baseball in Moorhead and she loved watching them.

She enjoyed playing card games, reading poetry, reading books to the children at school, watching her favorite team, the Boston Red Sox(even traveling to Fenway Park with her daughter, Jaimie, to watch them play) and collecting Winnie The Pooh and bear items.

Jill loved her family and friends. She enjoyed all activities which included them. We will always remember her cheerful smile, eagerness to help everyone and her steadfast loyalty.

Most of all she was a wonderful mother. Her children were her pride and joy.

Jill will be greatly missed by her family, friends and her 3 cats-Numa, La and Lila.

She is survived by her three children, Joshua Kemmer, Moorhead,  Joseph Kemmer, Moorhead, and Jaimie Kemmer, Fargo; father, Kenneth Fladgard, Moorhead; sister, Julie Fladgard, Moorhead; and many other family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Kemmer; mother, Mardrie Fladgard; and in-laws, Alton and Lorraine Kemmer.

Jill’s Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at 2 PM in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service, Moorhead, MN. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Jill's memorial Service will be live streamed and can be viewed here on her obituary page.
