Joan Henneman, 74, Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, May 3, 2011, in Eventide Lutheran Home, Moorhead.
Joan Diane Henneman, the daughter of John and Leola (Bundy) Hennemann, was born in Fargo, ND, March 14, 1937. Joan grew up in Moorhead, and received private tutoring. She attended school in Brainerd, MN, and lived in a group home in Hawley, MN. In 1987, she returned to Moorhead where she had lived since. For the last six years, she lived in Moorhead Manor.
Joan loved babies and children. She enjoyed visits with family and friends. She had been active in Special Olympics for a number of years.
Joan is survived by her sister-in-law, Lucille Hennemann, Moorhead; niece, Susan Gubernick, nephews, Mark Hennemann, Kim Vogelsang and Darrell (Barb) Hennemann; and a number of great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Robert Hennemann; niece Laura Hennemann Grandbois; and nephew, Keith Vogelsang.
Funeral service: Monday, May 9, 2011 at 2 PM, Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Visitation: one hour prior to funeral.
Burial: Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
