Joanne M. Anderson, Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, May 3, 2009, in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo, ND, at the age of 79.
Joanne Marilyn Larkin, the daughter of Russell and Ruth (Craven) Larkin, was born in Bismarck, ND, on August 23, 1929. She grew up and received her education in Bismarck, where she graduated from high school. She also attended UND in Grand Forks, ND.
On July 29, 1951, Joanne married Ronald B. Anderson. They made their home in Grand Forks and later in Stephen, MN.
Her husband, Ronald died, September 2, 2002. In the fall of 2003, Joanne moved to Moorhead, to become a resident of Eventide Living Center, where she had lived since.
For years Joanne enjoyed socializing through Birthday Club and Homemakers. As well as being an avid reader, she also enjoyed sewing. In Stephen, she was a member of First Lutheran Church.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, and a sister, Patricia Denzin.
Joanne is survived by three daughters, Debra Anderson, Minneapolis, MN, Viki (Jim) Cherewatenko, Great Falls, MT, and Teri (Weldon) Bryant, Fargo; grandson, Drew Anderson; granddaughter, Lane Cherewatenko; a sister, Mary McGregor, Westminster, Maryland; a
