John "Jack" C. Bouton, 71, Fargo, ND, died Monday, April 21, 2008, in his home.
John Charles Bouton, also known as Jack, was born November 21, 1936, in Fargo to Charles and Louise (Matthys) Bouton. He was raised in Glyndon, MN, where he attended school.
Jack worked on the family farm for many years, eventually taking over the farming operations. He also became involved in land development, operating the Midwest Land Company. He developed several rural and lakeshore sub-divisions over the years. At the time of his death, he was contemplating doing one more development in Becker County.
Jack had a colorful personality, enjoyed socializing and was always trying to sell someone something. He was a terrific salesman but one of his greatest joys was farming.
He is survived by a daughter, Tami (Rick) Olsen, Moorhead, MN; a son, John (Steph) Bouton, Hawley, MN; three sisters, MaryLou Lucca, Anita (Rudy) Kuznia, and Phoebe (Neil) Stouffer; seven grandchildren, Jack, Taylor, Travis, Dylan, Ciara, Alex, and Andrew; and two great-grandchildren, Hallie and Abigail.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Pete Bouton.
Visitation: one hour prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
Memorial Service: Sunday, April 27, 2008 at 2 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
