John W Kersich, 67, Moorhead, MN, passed away June 14, 2010 in his home.
John was born on October 23, 1942, to Nick and Diane (Kusich) Kersich in Detroit, MI. When he was still a young boy, his family moved to Red Lodge, MT. They later moved to Kalispell, MT, where he resided until he graduated from Kalispell High School. John attended college in Great Falls, MT, where he got his degree in Television Communication. He worked in various television stations in Missoula, MT; Boise, ID; and Alexandria, MN. In 1968, John met and married Agnes Fichter, and to this union his two children were born, Terry and Stephanie. In 1976, John, Agnes and their children moved to Richardton, ND. He furthered his education at colleges in both Dickinson and Bismarck. John later moved to the Fargo-Moorhead area working at U.S. Bank until he retired in 2008.
John had a variety of hobbies and interests throughout his life including car racing, water-skiing, motorcycling, model airplanes, reading, stained glass, and his latest passion, a 1959 Edsel. He was a proud member of the Gold Wing Road Riders Association and of the Valley Vintage Car Club.
He is survived by his son, Terry Kersich of Taylor, ND, his daughter, Stephanie Wagner of Moorhead; two grandchildren, Tyler and Aaron Wagner of Fargo-Moorhead; and one brother, Larry (Yvonne) Kersich of Henderson, NV.
He is preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
The Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 3 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
