John T. Flohrs, 75, of Moorhead, MN, formerly of Minneapolis, MN, died on Tuesday, January 30, 2018, in VA Medical Center, Fargo, ND.
John Theodore Flohrs was born November 11, 1942, in Fargo, the son of Theodore and Amanda (Muchow) Flohrs. He was raised in Moorhead and graduated from Barnesville (MN) High School in 1961. He then joined the Minnesota National Guard and later entered the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
After his discharge from the Army, John moved to Minneapolis, MN, where he worked for Twin City Wholesale drug for twenty-three years, until he retired. John continued to live in Minneapolis until he moved to Moorhead in the summer of 2017.
John enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, and bowling. During his teenage years he played Babe Ruth Baseball.
He is survived by his wife, Susan, Savage, MN; children, John W. Laack, San Diego, CA, and Susan A. (Sam) Laack-Lewis, La Vergne, TN; three grandchildren; sisters, Carol Meyer, Moorhead, and Charlene (Tom) Farr, Edina, MN; brothers, Michael (Deb) Flohrs, and Richard (Donna) Flohrs, both Fargo; and nieces and nephews.
John was preceded in death by his parents; and daughter, Jacqueline Flohrs.
A Gathering of Friends for John will be Saturday, February 10, 2018, from 2 PM to 5 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, MN.
Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
