Joe Frankhauser, 86, West Fargo, ND, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, January 29, 2008, in his home.
Joe was born April 18, 1921, in Drake, ND. He served in the United States Army in WWII in the South Pacific. Upon his return, he married Alice Oster on September 8, 1946. They farmed for a brief time, moved to Minneapolis, MN, and then moved to Fergus Falls, MN, in 1954. Joe was known as "the Candy Man". He worked as a candy salesman for Evers Heilig Company from May of 1964 to present (forty-four years). Joe was also known as a man of prayer and his passion for missions in Mexico. In 1980, Joe and Alice moved to West Fargo.
Joe is survived by his wife, Alice; sons, Pastor Curt (Kathy) Frankhauser, Fargo, ND, and Jeff (Kandy) Frankhauser, Bismarck, ND; a daughter, Renee (Sam) Previti, Orlando, FL; grandchildren, Steve (Teresa) Frankhauser, Wahpeton, ND, Nicole (Joe) Larson, Fargo, Joy Frankhauser, West Fargo, Kelly (Shane) Dettmann, West Fargo, Anthony Frankhauser, San Diego, CA, and Nathan and Joseph Previti, Orlando; and great-grandchildren, Alexis, Baylee, and Casey Frankhauser, Zion Dettmann, Sammy, Charlie, and Gracie Larson, Isabella Dettmann, and Abbigail Frankhauser.
Visitation is on Friday from 6 - 7 PM, with a Prayer Service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Funeral Service is on Saturday, February 2, 2008, at 2 PM in First Assembly of God, Fargo.
Burial will be on Monday at 1 PM at the ND Veteran's Cemetery, Mandan, ND.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to the local ministries of The Perry Center, West Fargo, or the Chaplain's Peace Officer/Jail Chaplain's Association, Fargo.
