Josephine "Jo" Fetter

Josephine "Jo" Mary Szepelak was born December 2, 1916 in Joliet, IL to Tony and Anna (Pudlik) Szepelak. The family moved to Thompson, ND in 1919 where Jo was raised and graduated from high school.
Jo was united in marriage to Marcus Fetter, June 7, 1937 at Thompson. They moved to Fargo, ND in 1942. They later moved to Moorhead, MN in 1956. Jo worked as a dental assistant for fifteen years in the office of Ronald Kolb, DDS, in Moorhead. She retired in 1979.
Marcus preceded Jo in death on November 24, 1976. She continued to reside in Moorhead. Jo moved back to Fargo in May of 2002, when she took up residence in Bethany Homes Towers. She entered Bethany Homes, Cares in March 2004, where she died Tuesday, October 14, 2008, at ninety-one years of age.
Jo was always one to keep busy. She enjoyed traveling on bus tours, reading and crocheting in her spare time. Bingo at Bethany Homes, with her friends, was one of her favorite pastimes in more recent years.
Jo was an avid gardener and loved raising her roses. She spent time caring for her plants indoors as well as outdoors.
Jo is survived by her daughter, Rosalie Harmon and her husband, Dave, of Fargo; two granddaughters, Heidi Harmon and her husband Mike O'Malley, of Richfield, MN, and Theresa Harmon and her husband, Tom Albrecht, of Ramsey, MN; one brother, Louis Szepelak,
In addition to her husband, Jo was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Ed; and one sister, Helen.
The funeral for Jo will be Sunday, October 19, 2008, at 1 PM in Mavis Whiting Chapel of Bethany Homes, Fargo.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fargo.
In Jo's memory, memorials are preferred.
