Joyce Bradshaw

Joyce was born August 14, 1946, in Ft. Bragg, NC. She spent her childhood in Sioux Falls, SD, and Moorhead, MN. She graduated from Moorhead High School in 1964 then moved to Chicago, IL, to be closer to her oldest sister, Patricia.

Joyce gave birth to 2 sons, Todd in 1966 and Damon in 1978. She worked at Weiss Memorial Hospital in Chicago from 1982-1991.

Joyce was truly gifted when it came to playing scrabble and completing crossword puzzles. She claimed she never lost a game and never faced a crossword puzzle she could not complete.

Joyce enjoyed making people laugh and would often play practical jokes on people at any given point in time. She loved animals dearly and enjoyed watching and feedings birds, squirrels and rabbits.

Joyce absolutely loved to watch every judge show on TV including Judge Judy, Judge Joe Brown, Judge Milian and the list goes on. Those closest to her knew not to mess with her while she was watching these programs.

Joyce also loved watching her sons play sports throughout high school and college. She was an intelligent, caring and loving mother who touched the lives of many on this earth. Her presence will be greatly missed.

Joyce died Friday, July 16, 2010, in Bethany Retirement Living, Fargo, ND, at the age of sixty-three.

She is survived by one son, Damon Bradshaw, Mayville, ND; three sisters, Patricia (Anthony) Plesnicar, Chicago, Judith (Robert) Videen, Moorhead, and Kathleen (Richard) Allen, Oak Point, TX; her father, Duane Bailey, Moorhead; and many nieces and nephews.
Joyce was preceded in death by a son, Todd Bradshaw; her mother, Doris Bailey; a sister, Sheila Faz; a niece, Barbara Videen; and grandnephew, Michael Plesnicar.


Memorial Service: Monday, August 2, 2010 at 2 PM in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
