Joyce C. Bye

Joyce C. Bye, 94, of Moorhead, MN, passed away on Saturday, July 13, 2019, in Eventide on Eighth, Moorhead.
Joyce Carol Clemenson was born January 3, 1925, the daughter of Robert and Lydia (Jermstad) Clemenson, in Horace, ND. She was the third child of fourteen children raised on the family farm. Joyce went to school through the eighth grade and helped to raise her siblings.
On August 3, 1940, Joyce married Reuben, in Comstock, MN. They made their home in Rustad where they raised three children. She later went to business college, and became a bookkeeper. Joyce worked various jobs and retired as a manager at Eventide Living Center in Moorhead, where she worked for many years.
Joyce was an active member of Hoff Lutheran Church in Rustad. Having lived next door to the church for many years, she was often the one to let people inside when no one else was around. Joyce later became a member of Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church, where she enjoyed attending the early service for the more traditional music.
Joyce loved her family. Many of the activities she enjoyed revolved around time with family. Those activities included things such as winning at cards, doing puzzles, dancing and of course celebrating the holidays with family.
Joyce is survived by two sons, Ron (Nancy) Bye, Clayton (Maxine) Bye; one daughter, Carol (Dennis) Krabbenhoft; nine grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; five siblings; and a very special friend, Ed Hafner.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Rueben; and eight siblings.
A Gathering of Friends for Joyce will be one hour prior to her memorial service. Her Memorial Service will be Thursday, July 18, 2019, at 11:00 AM in Triumph Lutheran Brethren Church, Moorhead.

Burial will be in Hoff Lutheran Cemetery, Rustad, MN.
