Judith M. Swenson

Judith Marcella Walstrom, was born in Highland Grove Township near Hitterdal, Minnesota on July 17, 1919 to Sven O. and Emma C. (Bergquist) Walstrom. Her education was received in area schools.
On December 22, 1945, Judith was united in marriage to Willmar C. Swenson in Moorhead, Minnesota. They made their home in Moorhead all of their married life and raised two children, Sandra and Marshall. They have been members of Bethesda Lutheran Church in Moorhead for many years.
Since 1981, Judith and Willmar wintered in Arizona and enjoyed many good years together. Mr. Swenson died in 1986. Judith lived at Park View Terrace for ten years thereafter. Since 1996, Judith has enjoyed making her home at The Fairmont in Moorhead. Because of failing health, she has been a resident of Eventide in Moorhead since 2003. She died there on Sunday, January 8, 2006 at the age of 86 years.
Her family includes a daughter, Sandra (Robert) Olson of Moorhead; a son, Marshall (Carol) Swenson of Rapid City, South Dakota; 6 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Besides her husband and parents, Judith was preceded in death by 3 sisters: Minnie Larson, Genevieve Lindstrom, and Deloris Miller; 6 brothers: Al, Bill, Barrington, and Raymond Carlson, and David Walstrom and an infant brother.
A gathering of friends for Judith will be Sunday, January 15th, 2006, from 3 - 5 PM, with a prayer service at 5 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Her memorial service will be Monday, January 16, 2006, at 11 AM, in Bethesda Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Inurnment will take place in Eksjo Lutheran Cemetery, Lake Park, MN.
