Judith Marie Wegge

Judith M. Wegge, 81, Moorhead, MN, died Sunday, March 10, 2019, in Essentia Health, Fargo, ND.

Judith Marie Holst was born on November 6, 1937, to Maurice and Judith (Lura) Holst in Mayville, ND. Her mother's teaching career moved Judy to many different communities before she finally graduated from Fargo Central High School in 1955. She then attended Interstate Business College where she graduated with a certificate in accounting.

While in college, Judy met Marlyn Wegge, and they were married on August 23, 1957, in Nashua, IA. They made their home in Moorhead and Judy worked as a bookkeeper at Sorinson Construction in Fargo until her last daughter, Stacy, was born. She then stayed at home until 1980 when she started as a bookkeeper at Concordia College, Moorhead, where she worked for 30 years before retiring.

Judy was a member of the Fargo Legion Auxiliary. She and Marlyn found much joy in traveling to the Legion conventions before and during their retirement. They also had a group of friends from their time in college that met once a month to play Whist. The group is still meeting and will miss Judy's cheerful presence.

Judy's family was incredibly important to her. She raised them in a very stable home and gave them a foundation to build their lives upon. She enjoyed animals, dancing, laughing, and her ceramics hobby. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister and will be dearly missed.
Judy is survived by her husband, Marlyn; children, Jan (Brian) Schlick, Moorhead, Mark Wegge, St. Cloud, MN, and Stacy (Todd) Duffield, St. Pete Beach, FL; grandchildren, Sophie and Angus Schlick; and siblings, Karen Kautzmann and Leland Holst. Judy was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Carson Holst; and brother-in-law, Dwight Kautzmann.

Red was Judy's favorite color and her family would invite you to wear something red to her service to honor her.

**REVISED SERVICE TIME** Memorial service for Judy will be Saturday, March 16, 2019, at 2:30 PM, in Trinity Lutheran Church, Moorhead. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Prairie Home Cemetery, Moorhead, at a later date.
