Judy L. Zimmerman, age 87, of Findlay, OH, formerly of Moorhead, MN,
and Billings, MT, died on Sunday, February 15, 2009, at The Heritage, Findlay.
Judy Lillian Swanson was born on March 8, 1921, in Bone Trail, ND, to the late John and Bertha (Fogner) Swanson. Judy married Donald L. Zimmerman on June 23, 1946, and
he preceded her in death on June 22, 1978.
Don and Judy were owners of the Coast-to-Coast Store in Moorhead for many
years. She was a member of Grace Community Church in Tempe, AZ, a member
of Women of the Word and loved ballroom dancing, golfing and needlework.
Judy was also a member of the Elkettes.
Judy is survived by her two children, Deborah J.(Bruce J.) Beck of Findlay and Greg A. (Mary) Zimmerman of Billings, MT; two brothers, Maurice Swanson of Williston, ND, and Johnny Swanson of Riverton, WY; three sisters, Darlene Solberg of Longmont, CO,
Connie Harstad of Concord, CA, and Lila Skistad of Minneapolis, MN; and seven
grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Ronald L. Zimmerman; brother, Larry Swanson; and sisters, Jo Solberg, Vi Handwerk, and Evelyn Oyloe.
Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Judy to Bridge Home Health and Hospice, 15100 Birchaven Ln, Findlay, OH 45840.
A family graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2009, at 3 PM, in Riverside Cemetery, Fargo.
