Julia Sims Maudal

Julia Mae Saeger was born November 10, 1932, in Willmar, MN. She was raised in Wahpeton, ND, where she received her education.

She made her home in Wheaton, MN, and Wahpeton, where she worked many years as the activities director at Leach Home. Julia died Thursday, February 13, 2014, at Elim Rehab and Care Center, Fargo, at eighty-one years of age.

Julia is survived by her children, Leo (Kathy) Vipond, Menomonie, WI, Cindy (Jeff) Pickard, West Fargo, ND, and Dana (Marina) Sims, Wahpeton; five grandchildren, Justin, Summer and Elizabeth Vipond, Samantha Pickard, and Lindsey Sims; five step-grandchildren, Amos and Olaf Thomsen, Mandy Malaterre, and Sharla and Shelby Pickard; three stepgreat-grandchildren, Brooke, Preston, and Hannah; and a sister, Bonnie Larsen, Pueblo, CO.

A memorial service will be Sunday, February 16, 2014, at 4 PM, in Elim Rehab and Care Center Chapel, Fargo. She will be buried next to her husband, Curt, in Wheaton.
