Julie Ann Rogers

January 21, 1955 — December 2, 2024

Barnesville

Julie Ann Rogers, a steadfast spirit and beloved figure in the lives she touched, passed away peacefully at her home in Barnesville, Minnesota, on December 2, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Surrounded by her loving family, Julie can now find rest from her pain, reunited with loved ones, playing cards with her parents, holding her infant siblings, dancing in the sky, and singing in the angelic choir above.

Born on January 21, 1955, to Dean and JoAnn (Ferris) Lammers in Moorhead, Minnesota, Julie spent her formative years in Barnesville. She attended Assumption Catholic School until the seventh grade before continuing her education at Barnesville High School, from which she proudly graduated with the Class of 1973.

Julie’s life journey included a marriage to Terry Peet, with whom she raised two sons, Barry and Randy. A devoted mother, her unwavering support was evident as she never missed an event involving her children. Their shared adventure took them through various cities, including Minneapolis, Fargo, and Modesto, California. Julie dedicated herself to nurturing others, not only as a mother but also as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at facilities such as Good Samaritan in Barnesville and Moorhead Healthcare.

On June 4, 2004, Julie found a new chapter of love with Earl Rogers, and together they built a home in Barnesville. She thrived in her role at Sanford, where she served in transitional care, orthopedics, and endoscopy until her retirement in 2019. A cherished part of her life was the serene lake cabin on South Lida, where mornings were made special with coffee on the deck and joyful pontoon rides with family. An enthusiastic cook, Julie delighted in hosting her loved ones, especially during the festive holiday season. Her spirit shone brightly as a dedicated Minnesota Vikings fan, sharing many happy moments with Earl while traveling and enjoying long walks together.

Julie is survived by her devoted husband, Earl Rogers; her two sons, Barry (Vicki Edenloff) Peet and Randy (Cara) Peet, both of Fargo, North Dakota; her sister, Mary (David) Mulcahy of Emily, Minnesota; her cherished grandson, Colton Neys; her niece, Tracie (Jeremy) Robeck; her nephew, Ryan (Allison) Mulcahy; along with numerous great-nieces and great-nephews who will miss her dearly.

She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, Dean and JoAnn Lammers, and her siblings—infant sister Mary and infant brother John Lammers.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at Assumption Catholic Church in Barnesville, MN with Father Todd Arends presiding.

Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM, Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Assumption Catholic Church with a Prayer Service at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue for one hour prior to the funeral service on Wednesday.

Julie’s warmth, kindness, and dedication to her family and friends will be forever remembered. As we celebrate her life, we honor the many roles she played, the love she shared, and the indelible mark she leaves on our hearts. The family would like to thank the Sanford Hospice Team for their tender care.
