June Marie Highness Teigen, 72, Moorhead, MN, died Tuesday, August 21, 2012, at Sanford Health, Fargo, ND. With family by her side, she lost her battle to lymphoma cancer.
June was born June 5, 1940, to Albert and Alma Christensen, in Osnabrock, ND. On March 29, 1958 June married Leo Highness, who passed away September 17, 1998. Together they had two sons, Timothy and Bruce Highness, both of Moorhead; a daughter, Kathy, who resides in California; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. June also had seven sisters and four brothers. She also raised many foster children throughout the years.
June later married Clayton Teigen, who has five children. Clayton and June were married for the past twelve years, residing both in Arizona and Moorhead.
June was a member of the VFW, the Ladies Auxiliary, American Legion, and was a member of Our Saviors Church, Moorhead. She was a very strong woman who loved helping others. June enjoyed going to the casino, bingo nights, being at the lake and spending time with family.
June's last request was to have no service, but to be remembered as the strong woman that she was.
