Karen Rodne Beutler, 70, passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2023, shortly after being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Karen was born February 14, 1953, in Seattle, WA, to Berger and Olive (Stenerson) Rodne. She grew up on the family farm near Harvey, ND, with her three younger brothers. Karen graduated with honors from Harvey High School in 1971. She moved to Fargo, ND, to study nursing at NDSU, spending most of her career as a nurse and Director of Nursing at Elim, and also as a nurse at Villa Maria, both Fargo. After retiring, Karen was part of the Prime Time Choir, and was also on the board of directors at Memory Cafe.
Karen aspired to bring goodness to everyone she encountered, wholeheartedly dedicating herself to spreading love and kindness at all times. Her steadfast Christian faith served as a source of inspiration for numerous individuals. She was an exceptional leader within her community, positively impacting numerous lives through her dedicated efforts.
Karen was preceded in death by both her parents; brothers, Mark and Paul; and great-granddaughter, SerenityRae.
She is survived by Gerry, her husband of 35 years; her brother, Otto Rodne, Minneapolis, MN; her four children, Josh Pallansch, Minneapolis, MN, Kelli Pallansch, San Francisco, CA, SheilaRae Beutler, Moorhead, MN, and Shannon Beutler Quick, Lake Elsinore, CA; six grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
A small private family memorial will be held in Harvey, ND.
There will be a public Celebration of Life visitation Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023, from 5:30 PM to 7 PM, in Bethel Church, Fargo.
In lieu of flowers, consider making memorial contributions to Memory Café or the Perry Center, along with supporting Bethel Cemetery in Harvey.
