Kathleen "Kathy" Solseth

Kathleen Faye (Olson) Solseth went home to be with Jesus, while surrounded by her family and friends, at Essentia Hospital, Fargo, ND, on July 3, 2016, at the age of 69.

Kathy is survived by her husband, Larry Solseth, Fargo; children, Nathan (Allison) Solseth, Leonard, ND, and Melissa (Michael) Lynnes, Leonard; grandchildren, Zachary, Rebecca, Elisabeth, and Addison Lynnes; siblings, Noreen Stromberg (Larry Aguilera), Fort Collins, CO, Laurel (George J.) Yost, Dent, MN, and Marlin Olson, Fargo; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Kathy was born on October 30, 1946, in Ada, MN, to Arthur and Irene (Flaten) Olson. She grew up in rural Flom, MN, and attended elementary and high school in Twin Valley, MN. She came to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ at an early age at Wild Rice Lutheran Church, Twin Valley. She graduated from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN.

Kathy married her high school sweetheart on December 22, 1968. They made their home most recently in Fargo. She worked at the University of Minnesota, Concordia College Registrar's Office, and for many years was the Administrative Assistant at Park Christian School, Moorhead, where the students and staff were like an extension of her family. She served on various boards, women's ministries and led many women's Bible studies at her beloved Bethel Church, Fargo.

Kathy will be remembered as a kind, gracious, knowledgeable, funny lady with a loud laugh that was contagious. She loved people and was generous with her time. Though she suffered from the ravages of chronic pain and anxiety, above all, she loved her Savior, Jesus Christ, and clung to him.

Visitation is Thursday, from 5 PM until 8 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.

Funeral is Friday, July 8, 2016, at 11 AM in Bethel Evangelical Free Church, Fargo.

Burial will be in Wild Rice Lutheran Cemetery, Twin Valley.
