Kenadey Faye Jensen, was born August 11, 2010, to Matthew and Meagan (Mertz) Jensen. Kenadey went to heaven sometime during the early morning hours of Wednesday, October 24, 2012, from her home in Sabin, Minnesota. Believing in the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and God's promises, we are confident that Kenadey is with Jesus, and that we will be reunited with her when Jesus comes in His Glory to gather His own to Him. She was born an angel, perfect in every way, and God decided to take her home to dance, sing, and to play with all the animals. She was met at the gates of Heaven with open arms by her Great Grandpa Tom, Great Grandparents Bertha and Adolph Mertz, and Grandma Miki Morrison.
In the 26 months that Kenadey graced our world with her presence, she endeared herself to everyone who knew her. She rose with a smile and went to bed with a smile. She had a sweet and gentle disposition; born social, she loved everyone and engaged them with her charismatic smile, contagious giggle, and goofy sense of humor. She simply loved life but her very favorite things were music and animals, especially her "woo woos" and "kee kees" Piper, Mercedes, Duke at home, and Areal, Frannie and Morgan at her grandparents' homes. She seemed to be a budding musician, dancing sweetly or "singing" passionately in her own little language and we were looking forward to her singing words. She loved her baby brother Kade, from the moment she met him she knew he was "her" baby and was constantly hugging, cuddling with him, and caring for him in her own concerned way; she loved all babies. She loved being outdoors, going to the park, getting rides in her wagon, playing in the lake and going on kayak rides in Minnesota. She was filled with affection and love; always quick to give a hug and a kiss to anyone she greeted or left. She loved her many books and she loved being read to. She loved going to church and would very seriously fold her hands to pray and remind us to pray before meals. Kenadey's love and sweetness will always touch those who were fortunate enough to know her; she was cherished by all and will be celebrated with every breath we take. We praise Jesus for the gift that Kenadey was to us here on earth but she has now taken her place as a permanent angel in Heaven. She became an angel far too soon but she left us all with an example of how we should live. She was truly our blessed little angel from God.
Kenadey will be dearly missed by her parents Matt & Meagan, and her brother, Kade Jensen (3 months), all Sabin; grandparents Gene and Dawana Jensen, Fargo; grandparents, Monty and Paula Mertz, Fargo; great grandparents Kenneth and Betty Erickson, Fargo; great grandmother, Donna Palmer, Fargo; uncle Paul Jensen, Fargo; cousin Harley Jensen, Horace, ND; Uncle and Aunt, Taylor and Jessica Mertz, Waukesha, Wisconsin; together with many other cousins, aunts and uncles, playmates and friends.
The visitation for Kenadey will be Monday, 5 PM until 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Her funeral will be Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at 11 AM in Salem Evangelical Free Church, east campus, 1111 30th Ave. South, Moorhead
