Kenneth Bladow, 78, Moorhead, MN, died at his home in Moorhead on Dec. 23, 2009, surrounded by his loving family.
Kenneth was born Jan. 17, 1931, in Hankinson, ND, where he grew up and graduated from high school. Ken served in the US Army, from 1952 until 1954. He received his bachelors' degree from Concordia College, Moorhead in 1955, received his master's from NDSU in Fargo.
Ken married Beverly Losett on August 18, 1956, in Circle, MT. They lived in West Fargo, ND and later in Moorhead. Ken taught school in Wolverton, MN, West Fargo, and the MSU "Campus School" in Moorhead. Ken was an assistant professor of health and physical education at MSUM in Moorhead, for 33 years. He retired in 1991.
In retirement, Bev and Ken traveled in their motor home and spent summers on the family farm near Circle.
Ken is survived by his wife, Bev, Moorhead; 3 children, Terry (Amy) Bladow, Norman, OK, Joel (Catherine) Bladow, Fort Collins, CO; and Julie (Douglas) Joseph, Tucson, AZ; a brother, Howard, Wahpeton, ND; sisters, Laverne Loll, Hankinson, and Pearl Hohenstern, Wahpeton; and seven grandchildren, Allison, Stephanie, Nicole, Spencer, Taylor, Dominique, and Mikayla.
Funeral service: Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009, at 2 PM,
Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Burial: Riverview Cemetery, Circle, MT.
