Kenneth Arnold Lee was born June 30, 1929, in Fargo, ND, to Konrad and Anna (Wallman) Lee. Ken spent his life in the Fargo area where he received his education. Ken served for two years in the US Navy.
He graduated from Concordia College and Florida State. He received his Master’s degree in Social Work and went on to work as a social worker for The Village Family Service Center, Fargo, for thirty-five years.
Ken was united in marriage to Louise R. Anderson, on June 22, 1957, in Minneapolis, MN. She survives Ken, as do his children, Philip (Eloise) Lee, and Susan (Boyd) Hand; grandchildren, Rachel (Tan) Cao, Aaron (Mallory) Lee, James Hand, and Elizabeth (Ben) Hand; great-grandchildren, Jemi McCleary, Drew Cao, and Gwendolyn Cao; sister, Annabelle (Dwaine) Olson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother Eugene “Chooch” (Annaruth) Lee.
Ken died Sunday, May 26, 2024, at Fargo Elim, at ninety-four years of age.
Ken was involved in many aspects of community service. He was a member of the Kiwanis International, Helping Hands Ministry of Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, and volunteered at the VA Medical Center. Ken was eager to help others when he was able.
He loved spending summers at his cabin on Pelican Lake where he enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening and being with his family and friends. He went on many trips to visit his children and grandchildren. Ken was proud to be a Cobbers football and basketball sports fan and attended most of the games.
Visitation for Ken will begin at 10 AM, followed by a memorial service at 11 AM, Wednesday, June 19, 2024, in Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, Moorhead.
