Kenneth P. Larson Sr.

Kenneth Peter Larson was born May 13, 1942, in Wadena, MN, to Peter and Hattie (Rittchie) Larson. The family moved to Moorhead, MN, in 1943, and to Frazee, MN, in 1957. Kenneth served in the US Army from 1959 to 1965.
Kenneth was united in marriage to Sandra S. Geiszler on June 13, 1964, in Moorhead. They made their home in Minneapolis, MN, where Kenneth worked as an electrician for Electric Machinery and Manufacturing.
They moved to Tower, MN, where he worked for General Electric from 1975 to 1986. Kenneth received an accounting degree in 1985 and they moved to Moorhead the following year. Kenneth retired in 1987.
Sandra died August 16, 1999, and Kenneth remained in Moorhead. He died Thursday, June 3, 2010, at his home under the loving care of his family and Hospice of the Red River Valley.
Kenneth loved woodworking, gardening, travel and above all, his wife and children. He is finally at peace and with his beloved wife, Sandra.
"Don't cry for me. Cry for the living. I am happy! I am with my beloved Sandra for eternity."
Kenneth is survived by two daughters, Catherine Larson and Rebecca (Paul) Richardson, both Moorhead; a son, Kenneth Jr. (Anita) Larson, Manvel, ND; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a brother, Martin Larson, Abilene, KS. In addition to his
Memorial Service: Friday, June 11, 2010, at 1 PM, in Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Moorhead.
Inurnment will be in Moorhead Memorial Gardens, Moorhead.
