Krail B. Barker was born June 20, 1930, on the family farm near Rock Lake, ND, to Job and Annie (Potratz) Barker. He was raised in that area where he received his education.
In the fall of 1949, Krail enlisted in the US Army, and served in Okinawa, Japan. After his discharge from the Army, Krail came to Fargo, ND, and worked a short time for the Fargo Fire Department.
Krail worked local delivery for Midwest Motor Express for many years. After he retired, Krail continued to make his home in Fargo. He was a long-time member of the Fargo VFW as well as the American Legion.
Following a short illness, Krail died Wednesday, December 12, 2012, in Sanford Health Palliative Care Unit, Fargo, at eighty-two years of age.
Krail is survived by his siblings, Irene (Orville) Olson, Fargo, Herbert Barker, Ham Lake, MN, Vernon (Patricia) Barker, Moorhead, MN, Melvin (Charlene) Barker, Big Lake, MN, and Marlene Spack, Elk River, MN; several nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Liz Bandvik, Fargo.
Visitation will be Saturday from 3 - 4 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel.
Funeral: Saturday, December 15, 2012,at 4 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead.
Burial will be in Moorhead Memorial Gardens.
