Lanier "Lanny" Oxton, 67, formerly of St. Paul, MN, died peacefully at home in Moorhead, MN, on May 18, 2011.
Preceded in death by his mother, Leikny, Lanny is survived by his father John "Neil"; brothers, Dwight (Mary Jo), and Jay (Marilyn); children, Sara, and Barry (Jami); and grandsons, Spencer and Camden; along with numerous nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts and cousins.
Lanny was a 1962 graduate of Jamestown (ND) High School and a 1967 graduate of the NDSU School of Architecture. Lanny enjoyed architecture and painting, music and singing, and was happiest when paddling a canoe in the Boundary Waters.
A celebration of his life will be held Friday, May 27, at 10 AM, at Church of St. John the Divine in Moorhead.
Visitation will be at the church after 9 AM, Friday.
Interment will be at Ostervold Lutheran Church Cemetery, Finley, ND.
Memorials may be directed to the donor's choice of non-profit organizations.
