Larry A. Iverson

Larry Allen Iverson, 79, Cooperstown, ND, passed away, January 8, 2025, at Sanford Hospital, Fargo.

Larry was born Sept 12, 1945, in Cooperstown, ND, to Roy and Clara (Johnson) Iverson. He resided on the Iverson farm East of Cooperstown for the last 79 years. In 1965, he was drafted into the Army, 18 months of which he spent in Germany. He returned home and began Farming and Ranching, which was his lifelong occupation. 

He married Janyce Zabel in 1971 and together they raised two daughters, Rikki (Cooperstown) married to Scott Boura and Nikki (Fargo) married to Rick Rude. Larry was active in the American Legion, Knights of Pythias and the Hannaford Wildlife Club. He loved classic cars and hunting, and you would rarely see him without his faithful furry companion "Camo" and later "Dixie". 

He is survived by his wife of 53 years; his two daughters; two brothers, Lynn (Lowie), Wahpeton, and Lee (Lori) Cooperstown; three nephews Troy, Travis (Laura), and Lucas (Joanne), three great nephews, Ethan, Riker and Ethan; and one great-niece, Audrina.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents. 

A Celebration of Larry’s Life will be held in the spring of 2025.
