Larry Saulsbury Jr., 60, Fargo, ND, died Wednesday, September 3, 2008, in Innovis Health, Fargo.
Lawrence Edwin Saulsbury Jr., the son of Lawrence Sr. and Myrtle (Hains) Saulsbury, was born November 14, 1947, in Breckenridge, MN. As a young man, he lived with his family and received his education, in a number of communities, including overseas in Europe, while his father served in the US Army. Larry lived in Wheaton, where he graduated from high school in 1964.
Larry moved to Fargo, ND, where he met and married Julie Trautmann. They were married Oct. 10, 1969, in West Fargo, ND. They lived in Fargo. Larry worked for Lee's Roofing and Sheet Metal. In 1979, he and two partners purchased the business from Lee Gisvold. One of his two partners left the business, while he and Bob Veit continued to work hard to serve their community and customers. Aside from work and family, Larry enjoyed fast cars, especially drag racing. He enjoyed the drag racing community and its people.
Larry is survived by his wife, Julie, Fargo; and two sons, Paul C. (Reneé) Saulsbury, Eagle River, Alaska, and grandchildren, Samantha, Rapid City, SD; Alexa and Erin, Eagle River; and Thomas A. (Kirstin) Saulsbury, Fargo; his father, Lawrence Saulsbury Sr., Fargo; two brothers, Mike Saulsbury, Moorhead, MN, and John (Maria) Saulsbury, Ham Lake, MN. He was preceded in death by his mother, Myrtle.
The family is grateful for the many medical professionals and caregivers who provided comfort to Dad during his fight with cancer.
