LaVerna M. Ystebo, Moorhead, MN, age 69, died Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2004, at Hospice of Naples, Naples, Florida.
LaVerna Mae Vig, the daughter of Alfred and Sophie (Salveson) Vig, was born January 6, 1935, at Sisseton, SD, where she grew up and received her education.
As a young lady, LaVerna moved to Fargo, ND, to live and work. While in Fargo, LaVerna met Stuart Ystebo. They were married on October 12, 1957, at Sisseton. Following their marriage, they made their home in Fargo. In 1960, the family moved to Moorhead, MN, where they had lived since. For the past four winters, Stuart and LaVerna have wintered in the Naples area.
LaVerna is survived by her husband, Stuart, Moorhead; two sons, Fred (Julie) Ystebo, Moorhead, and Dan Ystebo, Fargo; a daughter, Sherry (Scott) Kimbal, Robbinsdale, MN; five grandchildren, Danielle, Jill, Steve, and Rebecca Ystebo and Andrew Kimbal; two sisters, Lorraine Lein, Mesa, AZ, and Janet (Laurel) Pistorious, Browns Valley, MN; and two brothers, Sanford (Darlene) Vig, Sisseton, and Marlin (Phyllis) Vig, Dilworth, MN.
Visitation: Monday, from 4:30 PM until 7:00 PM
Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead, and
one hour before the funeral, at the church.
Prayer service: Monday at 7 PM
