Layne A. Bohnenberger

Layne A. Bohnenberger, 61, of Moorhead, MN, passed away, September 1, 2024, in his home under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley. 

Layne Alan Bohnenberger was born April 2, 1963, the son of Germaine “Bones” and Gloria (Weaver) Bohnenberger in Moorhead. He was raised in Moorhead and graduated from Moorhead High School. Layne worked as truck driver for most of his career, driving for farmers, over the road and on local routes.

Fishing was a passion for Layne and in the fall of 2023, he finally landed the catch of lifetime, with a 31 1/8 inch Trophy Walleye. Layne also enjoyed landscaping and playing bingo with friends. 

He is survived by his wife, Sheri; children and grandchildren, Tyler (Breanna) Bohnenberger and their children, Tathan and Lainey, and Lexee (Brandon) Satariano and their children, Everly and Ari, all of Oklahoma City, OK; mother, Gloria Bohnenberger, Moorhead; and sister, Dawn Martinson, Moorhead and her sons, Brandon, Jorden and Carter. 

He was preceded in death by his beloved father, Germaine; and mother-in-law, Hazel Evenson. 

Celebration of Life for Layne will be Saturday, September 14 at 10AM in Korsmo Funeral and Cremation Service of Moorhead, MN.  Family and friends will gather one hour prior.  Interment will be held in Riverside Cemetery, Moorhead.
