LeeAnn Sivertson was born April 15, 1938, to Sverre "Swartz" and Olive (Kroshus) Sivertson in Perley, MN.
She grew up in Perley and graduated in 1956 from Hendrum (MN) High School. LeeAnn was baptized and confirmed in Kirkebo Lutheran Church, Perley. LeeAnn attended Interstate Business College in Fargo, ND, and graduated in 1957. LeeAnn worked for the Fargo Forum from 1957 to 1959.
On August 15, 1959, LeeAnn married Ronald Guttormson at Kirkebo Lutheran Church in Perley and they lived in the Perley, Georgetown, Felton and Borup communities. LeeAnn and Ronnie spent ten winters traveling to Las Vegas, NV, and Phoenix and Tucson AZ, where they met several new friends with whom they continue to keep in touch.
LeeAnn served on the board of the Georgetown (MN) Gardenaires and was a member of the West Buffalo Homemakers. LeeAnn was an active member of Winchester Lutheran Church, Borup, MN; Moorhead VFW Auxiliary; Golden Living Center Auxiliary, Moorhead; and was a Borup Community Club Board member. LeeAnn loved to bake Kringla and kept an immaculate yard. LeeAnn enjoyed listening to Elvis Presley and gospel music, having coffee with her lady friends, spending time with her family and grandchildren and attending their activities.
LeeAnn is survived by her husband and four children: Kellee (Dan) Johnk, Sabin, MN, Dean (Sue) Guttormson, Moorhead, Chad Guttormson, West Fargo, ND, and Kari (Chris) Borgmann, Detroit Lakes, MN; aunts, Evie Gilbertson, Ada, MN, Marjorie Kroshus, Fargo, Irene Ingham, Santa Barbara, CA; brothers-in-law, Terry (Judy) Guttormson, Hendrum, and Duane Durr, Fargo; sisters-in-law, Karen Dittberner, St. Joseph, MN; eight grandchildren, Karra (Travis) Sunde, Kamron Johnk, and Kadin Johnk, all of Sabin, David (Jeanne) Mathisen, Fargo, Kurt Guttormson, Moorhead, Shelbi Guttormson, Moorhead, and Reece and Sidney Borgmann, Detroit Lakes; and a great-granddaughter, Hallie Sunde. LeeAnn is also survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews.
LeeAnn was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margaret Cleveland Durr; a granddaughter, Krista Johnk; in-laws, Elmer and Mabel Guttormson; brothers-in-law, Roger Guttormson and Anthony DeMario; and nephews, Edward and Michael DeMario.
LeeAnn's family would like to acknowledge and thank all those who were a part of her life. You were all very special to LeeAnn. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Red River Valley or Lupus Foundation of America.
Visitation for LeeAnn will be Sunday, December 4, 2011, from 5 - 7 PM, with a prayer service at 7 PM, in Korsmo Funeral Chapel, Moorhead. Her funeral will be Monday, December 5, 2011, at 11 AM, in Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, Felton. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery, Borup.
